Seven years ago I bought my first computer, an IBM PS/1 (and it is still working fine with DOS and Windows 3.11) and I now also have a number of machines all set up in a small local net. I am very interested in setting up and configuring machines and programs, although I often wonder why everything often works in spite of the shortcomings of many programs and the absence of accompanying compatibility software from the manufacturers of hardware like modems, videocards and the like.

Now I am using both Windows98 on one machine, which is till working fine, as well as XP on a number of machines, and the latest addition a MediaCenter Vista machine. Vista looks nice and a bit fancy but is excruciatingly slow and very chaste - doesn't allow much fiddling.

I now am on an FiberGlass line from "Dansk Bredbånd" which is really fast. And I like it.

I like working with spreadsheets and my interest in yachting made me construct a sheet in Excel for automatic calculation of a deviationtable by taking bearings from the sun, as well as constructing a sheet to calculate one's position from just two astronomical observations. But recently I found the neatest little program that does just that on the net. It is called Navigator Light. Its's small and quick and easy to use. Perfect for calculating PositionLines and Offset and finding exact Location

I also dabble in Delphi-programming. I have made a number of small programs for use in the school, such as spelling-drills, translation exercises, wordgames of different sorts sentence-analyzing-drills. German grammar tutors a.s.o.. Check out my Download-page. Another great interest of mine is Astronomy & Cosmology and nuclear physics and I love the pictures one can get from places like NASA.

I have now been "programming" for 5 years and have made about 25 small programs. They are mostly wordgame-programs for learning a vocabulary or to exercise spelling. They are all written in Delphi 1 and 6 and run best on at least a Pentium. Most of the programs are made to work with three languages- Danish (well- laugh away) - ,English and German, and are perfect for luring kids into working with their spelling, and the response from the kids who have tested them has been encouraging. The one they like best is the Lykkehjulet(Wheel of Fortune)- see my Download page.
